How Export Buyers Should Evaluate Saffron

Evaluate saffron by testing and market purpose

Saffron needs trust because its value is high and volume is small. Strand appearance matters, but colour strength, moisture, aroma, purity, cut type and laboratory results make the quality defensible.

For retail markets, packing, label language, small weights and gift appeal matter. For bulk trade, authenticity, lot uniformity and test results are more important. For private label, design and destination rules should be reviewed early.

Saderati encourages buyers not to judge saffron only by price per kilogram. Grade, test result, packing and destination create the real value.
