How to Specify PE Packaging for Export

Specify PE by numbers and application, not by a generic name

In polyethylene film and packaging, a few microns, the sealing type or the stretch ratio can change performance. A professional export inquiry should describe the product by application, dimensions and use conditions.

For food use, odour, hygiene, food-contact documents and labelling become important. For pallets and transport, puncture resistance, cling and roll weight matter more. For retail bags, print, handle, gusset and pieces per carton decide the offer.

For PE exports, a sample or photo from the destination market is valuable. It allows the producer to see the expected product instead of pricing a generic phrase.
